While many associate the show with Marius Constant’s later avant-garde guitar riff, the legendary Bernard Herrmann crafted the haunting music for the first season, setting a standard for psychological tension.
Creator Rod Serling acted as the “gatekeeper” to this strange realm, delivering opening narrations that challenged American social norms through the lens of science fiction and the paranormal.
