What is The Raccoons about?
The Raccoons is a legendary Canadian cartoon about Bert, Ralph, and Melissa Raccoon, who live in the peaceful Evergreen Forest. The main story usually shows them trying to protect their forest from Cyril Sneer, a pink, cigar-chomping aardvark who wants to destroy the trees to make money.
The show was huge in the 1980s and early 90s, especially in Canada and the UK. People loved it because the music was actually “pop-quality” and sounded like something you’d hear on the radio! The song “Run With Us” became a big hit in its own right and is still considered one of the best cartoon theme songs ever made.
