Superjail! is an Adult Swim animated series famous for its extreme psychedelic violence and intricate, “blink-and-you-miss-it” background details. The show centers on The Warden, a Willy Wonka-like eccentric who runs a massive prison built inside a volcano located within another volcano. Assisted by Jared (the nervous accountant), Alice (the hyper-masculine guard), and Jailbot, the Warden constantly attempts to reinvent the jail with disastrous results.
The theme song, “Comin’ Home” by the garage rock band Cheeseburger, is as gritty and energetic as the show itself.
