The Mummies Alive! theme song is a musical invitation to an animated adventure that seamlessly blends ancient Egyptian lore with 90s excitement. Launched in the fall of 1997, the show was the creative brainchild of Mark Edens, Eric Lewald, and Julia Lewald, exploring a world where four mummies awaken to protect the reincarnation of Prince Rapses in modern-day San Francisco.
The theme was composed by Ron Wasserman (famous for his work on Power Rangers), credited as RAW. Along with John Campbell, he created a high-energy, rock-infused soundtrack that signaled the transformation of the mummies into their super-powered armored forms. The music served as a bridge between historical mystique and contemporary action, perfectly capturing the show’s “Egyptian magic” theme.
Featuring an incredible voice cast including Scott McNeil and Cree Summer, Mummies Alive! delivered 42 episodes of supernatural thrills in a single, high-impact season. Even decades later, the catchy rhythm of the theme song transports fans back to the days of Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefer-Tina!
