Mike, Lu & Og Theme Song
Official Opening Sequence
Behind the Music: An Island Escapade
The Mike, Lu & Og theme song is your musical ticket to a one-of-a-kind animated island adventure! This quirky series follows three unconventional friends—a girl from Manhattan (Mike), a self-proclaimed island princess (Lu), and a brilliant boy inventor (Og). The theme song acts as a “sonic welcome mat,” inviting us right into their tropical world.
The music was performed by the Red Elvises, a band known for their surf-rock and rockabilly style. Composers Igor Yuzov and Oleg Bernov crafted the toe-tapping sounds for Season 1, while Vladimir Horunzhy took over the reins for Season 2, adding even more depth and charm to the score.
Airing on Cartoon Network from 1999 to 2001, the show was a unique collaboration between talent from the United States and Russia. Over 26 episodes, this catchy melody became the ultimate companion to the trio’s comical shenanigans. Even years later, the surf-rock vibes are enough to transport any fan back to this animated paradise!
